Larnaca is situated on the southeastern coast of the island, it has the biggest international airport from Cyprus, it is also one of the oldest progressively inhabited cities in the world. Larnaca is very famous by its mile-long promenade lined with palm trees, which has a lot of open-air cafes, taverns and restaurants. From one side of the promenade there is a yacht marina and a port, and at the other side - the biggest commercial and shopping centre, with many boutiques and supermarkets.Here you can visit a very beautiful salt lake with flamingos, which is located to the west of Larnaca. Also here you can see the Mosque of Hala Sultan Tekke. The famous village for its lace and silverware, Lefkara, is located very close to Larnaca. Another one village, Konnos, is well-known for its pottery. |
